As discussed in a previous entry on this page, dental implants are used to replace teeth. These can be individual or multiple teeth, including an entire mouth. A very common utilization for even as few as two implants is to secure a complete denture. Because removable dentures move, people often complain about them coming out, rubbing on tissue, or not being able to chew what they want. Securing a denture can greatly increase one’s quality of life, and utilizing more dental implants gives one the ability to function with even more stability and confidence and actually change one’s appearance. Because jaw bone shrinks over time, this is a limiting factor in how dentures sit on the bone and therefore how one’s face appears. With certain implant designs, we can restore a more natural and youthful appearance. If you have one or many missing teeth, we would love to discuss your options.
